Q: What can I do to help prepare for my death or the death of a loved one?
A: You can record your wishes or the wishes of your loved one, the more specific
you are the better off you are.
Q: Is embalming neccessary?
A: No, there is not a law that requires that a deceased human be embalmed. Most
funeral homes do have some type of requirement due to the natural physiological
process.
Q: What is an outer container?
A: Outer containers are grave liners or vaults placed into the ground for the
specific purpose of keeping the soil and outside elements from getting on the
casket.
Q: I've seen advertisements for casket stores, can I purchase a casket from
someone else and use it at your funeral home?
A: Yes, casket stores do have funeral merchandise for sale, and we will accept
any funeral merchandise purchased elsewhere. Things you need to note. Some of
the funeral merchandise you would have to purchase from outside suppliers is
included in your funeral service cost. I have experienced times when families
have gone to a casket store and paid more money for a casket, than they could
have purchased here at our funeral home.
Q: What if I do not have enough money to pay for a funeral service, or I have an
insurance policy?
A: We are more than happy to accomodate families from all economic backgrounds.
We have several financing options, and we can take assignments on verifiable
insurance policies and require very minimum down payments.
