Yoshiko DeLapp, of Weatherford, passed away December 15, 2011. Yoshiko was born October 30, 1939, in Japan, to Etsko and Hiroshi Takata.
Mrs. DeLapp was a restaurant entrepreneur in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. She opened and operated several Japanese and Sushi restaurants throughout the years. About ten years ago her daughter, Carol, began to provide care for Yoshiko. They lived together for the remaining years of Yoshiko’s life.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol DeLapp; sons, Michael DeLapp and James DeLapp; one granddaughter, Lisa Fant; sisters, Noriko, Etsko and Mitsko, and a brother, Hiroshi Takata, all of Japan. A cousin, Yoko Parker, also survives.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in East Greenwood Cemetery.
