Xenophen Vlahopoulos

  Xenophen Vlahopoulos, 83, of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010, in a local care facility. Xen was born March 23, 1927, in Catskill, New York, to Stella and Anthony Vlahopoulos. 

  Mr. Vlahopoulos served in the United States Army in Germany during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Elks Club in Cleburne. Xen retired from civil service and was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed his woodwork and built his home at age 76. He loved to dance in his later years and spending time with family and friends.

  His parents preceded him in death.  

  Survivors include his sons, Xen Vlahopoulos and wife, Susie and their children, Kaila, Nikole and Alykx, and Tony Vlahopoulos and son, Alex; and his mother, Barbara; and a sister, Catherine Kapanicas.  

  A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010, at the Greenwood Baptist Church.
