W.P. Punk Koonce

  W.P. (Punk) Koonce, 88, passed from this life on October 16, 2008 at his home after a short illness. Mr. Koonce was born July 24, 1920 in Hamlin Texas to William Alfred Koonce and Mattie Adaline Rutherford.

  Mr. Koonce was a deacon at South Side Baptist Church, a member of Parker County Sheriffs Posse, a Ranch Hand and wood craftsman.

  Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Nettie; children, Billie Sue Green and husband, Kenneth and Mike Koonce and wife, Diane; four grandchildren, one great grandchild, a brother, and three sisters.

Funeral services: Saturday at 10:00 a.m., at South Side Baptist Church
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home
Burial: East Greenwood Cemetery
