William Richard Barnes

  William Richard Barnes passed away in Fort Worth, Friday, April 27, 2012 after a lengthy illness. William was born September 21, 1927 in Peaster Texas.

  Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Susie Barnes; brothers, Horace, Clifton, Ira Pete, Hubert and Henry Barnes; and a sister, Evelyn Harris.

  Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Billie Jean Barnes; son, Dennis Barnes; daughter, Sabrina Stoffels and husband, Tim; niece, Brenda Geeslin; nephews, Clarence Earl Harris, Donald Ray Harris, and Gary White; and many friends and relatives.

  Mr. Barnes was employed for 43 years at Allied Iron Works in Fort Worth. He was a long time member and trustee of the First Free Will Baptist in Weatherford.

  Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 10:00 a.m. at East Greenwood Cemetery, with Pastor Josh Provow and Mr. Morris Brandon officiating.
