William Michael Mitchell

  William Michael Mitchell, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 19, 1948, to William L. Mitchell and Geraldine (Nelson) Mitchell, William proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

  After his military service, he channeled his dedication and craftsmanship into establishing a small tool repair business. William was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in boating, fishing, and, most of all, in spending cherished moments with his grandchildren. 

  William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Geraldine Mitchell and by an infant grandson, River Doyal. 

  William is survived by his wife, Dana Reid of Weatherford, Texas; grandson, McKenzie Haney; brother, Tim Huyck; daughter, Rachel Mitchell and husband, Chris Alderman of Bowie, Texas; grandsons, Bodie and Slade Alderman; stepson, Michael Brandstetter and wife, Michelle; stepson, Patrick Doyal and wife, Catrina; and grandchildren, Remington and Journey Doyal; as well as his favorite uncle, Wendell Nelson.
