William Loron Carroll

  William Loron Carroll, age 89, of Weatherford, died Friday night, August 15, 2008 in the local hospital. Born February 23, 1919 in Parker County, where he had lived all his life, he was a veteran of the Air Force, former employee of the Fort Worth Stock Yards and retired in 1968 from the Texas Animal Health Commission. 

  Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Quincy and Jewel Carroll and a brother, Jim Carroll. 

  He is survived by his wife, Thelma Carroll of Weatherford; daughter, Donna Willmott and husband, Bryan of Garner; son, Wayne Carroll and wife, Roxie of Weatherford; like a daughter, Susan Carroll of Weatherford; sisters, Margaret Skaggs and husband, Ellis of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Claudine Mandig and husband, Leonard of LaQuinta, California; brother, Jack Carroll and wife, Billye of Angleton, Texas; three grandchildren, Bobby Carroll, Laura Carroll Tuck, Chris Willmott; and three great grandchildren. 

  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in the Dilbeck Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2008, at the funeral home.
