William Carl Holmes

  William Carl Holmes, Sr., 65, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, surrounded by family at a local hospital.

  William Carl Holmes, Sr. was born January 31, 1948, in Weatherford. He was the son of the late Carl Thomas and Rena Mae Holmes. After graduating high school in 1966 he entered the Army in 1968. He was a member of the 15th Supply & Service Battalion 1st Calvary Division. After serving 12 months in Vietnam, William returned to the U.S. and was honorably discharged from the Army.

  Survivors include his sons, William Carl Holmes, Jr. and partner, Tarran of Rockwall Texas, Joseph Carl Holmes and wife, Jessica of North Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter, Lori Bowen and husband, Brian of Saginaw Texas; grandchildren, Jordan, Joshua, Chloe, Sophie, Hunter, Hayden and Jillian; brother, Tommy Holmes and wife, Cheryl of Weatherford; sisters, Suzanne Holmes of River Oaks, Texas, Brenda Pearson and husband Terry of Weatherford, and Debbie Reeder of River Oaks, Texas.

  There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20th, 2013, at the East Greenwood Cemetery. Burial will be at East Greenwood Cemetery following the service.
