W. C. “Bill” Baker, 86, of Weatherford, passed away Thursday morning, January 31, 2008 in the local hospital. Bill was an Army Veteran, worked as a Union Brick Layer and later owned a masonry contractor company until he retired for health reasons. He and his wife of 66 years, Elizabeth, lived near Weatherford for 45 years. They raised cattle, horses and grew hay crops at their ranch. They were members of South Main Church of Christ. Elizabeth preceded him in death in November, 2007.
Bill is survived by his three sisters, Betty, Louise, and Doris.
Graveside services: 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2008, at Springtown Cemetery.
Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
