  Wayne Purvis, 84, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday April 21, 2010. Mr. Purvis was born November 12,1925 in Milton, Kentucky, to Clarence and Elsie Purvis. 

  Mr. Purvis enlisted in the Navy on August 17, 1942 to proudly serve his country during WWII on the USS Atascosa. Awarded the purple heart and many other metals and citations. Mr. Purvis worked many interesting jobs during his lifetime, he mostly owned\operated furniture stores which he retired from eight years ago. He was a gentle loving man that had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved cooking on the grill for his family and gardening. 

  Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elsie Purvis; wife of 49 years, Priscilla Rose Purvis; sisters, Frieda Tuttle and Bonnie Rowlett; daughter, Debbie Conklin; son, Dallas Norwood Purvis; and granddaughter, Meagan Conklin. 

  Survivors include his son, Gary Purvis and wife, San Juana of Seabrook, Texas; daughter, Andellyn Danita Hungerford and husband, Terry of Watsonville, California; son, Dell Shane Purvis and wife, Lisa of Granbury, Texas; daughter, Danae Sessum and husband, Lynn of Brock, Texas; brother, Merle Purvis and wife, Hallie of LaGrange, Kentucky; brother, Marlen Purvis and wife, Mary Alice of Brownsburg, Indiana; daughter in law, Christina Purvis of Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Lupe Chavarria, John and Gerald Purvis, Dustin Purvis, Lezli Owens, Kaitlyn and Daelyn Sessum, Westly, Noah and Seth Purvis, and Dalton Purvis; numerous great grand children, cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends, Joe and Georgia Sessum; and his beloved cat, Charley.
 
  A private family Celebration of Life Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2010.

  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to 1st National Bank Of Weatherford to Danae Sessum for the Wayne Purvis Memorial fund for his grandson, Dalton Purvis. The family would like to thank American Hospice for all their loving care.
