  Vola B. McGill, 100, passed away on June 1, 2011 in a retirement center in Weatherford, Texas. Vola was born in Ranger, Texas and moved to Weatherford when she was nine years old; the daughter of James Mack and Bernena Fish Nix. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford for more than sixty years and a life time member of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker all her life and a beautician for many years. Vola was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. She will be missed by everyone in her family. 

  Vola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe C. McGill; grandson, Leslie Vonn McGill; daughter in law, Katy McGill; her two brothers and three sisters. 

  Survivors include her son, Vonn McGill; daughter, Doris Hagler and husband, Charles; grandchildren, Joe Ray Snow and wife, Karen; Gary Snow and wife, Linda; Vicki Cole and husband, Edwin; LaVonna Jackson and husband, Ray; ten great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

  Graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., in the Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be sent to the Pythian Home, Manna, or First Baptist Church.
