Vivian LaVerne Parkey Durrett, 79, of Burleson, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at her residence. Born December 17, 1927, in Parker County, Texas, where she was a life long resident until moving to Burleson a few years ago. Vivian was a hair dresser and a member of Santa Fe Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hardin and husband, James W. of Burleson; sisters, Mary Judge of Houston, Thelma Neeley of Houston, and Dale Hutcheson of Fort Worth; brother, Robert Harris of Houston; grandchildren, James D. Hardin and Sherry Shell; great grandchildren, Chase Hardin, Amanda Shell, Candace Hardin and Chance Hardin; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Bill Hardin officiating. Interment will be in Annetta Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
