Viola Pearl Morris, 68, of Weatherford, Texas, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on April 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family at home. Born on July 16, 1957, to J.B. Morris and Rita (Preston) Morris Stockstill, Viola lived a life marked by quiet strength, creativity, and deep devotion to those she loved.
For many years, Viola was a familiar and cherished face at R&K II Café in Weatherford, where she formed lasting connections with customers and coworkers alike. Her warm spirit and steady presence left an impression on all who walked through those doors. Outside of work, Viola found joy in woodworking, especially in crafting picture frames-each piece a reflection of her hands, her heart, and her desire to leave something meaningful behind.
Above all, Viola’s life was defined by her love for her family. She gave selflessly, caring tenderly for her mother and holding her close with unwavering devotion. Her love extended deeply to her siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family, each of whom carries a piece of her memory forward.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.B. Morris; her stepfather, Clarence “Stockie” Stockstill; and her niece, Shena Morris.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her beloved mother, Rita Stockstill; her sister, Brenda Gayle Smith; her brothers, Howard Morris and Leonard Morris; her nieces, Kristi Morris, Shona Morris, and Shelby Lynn Morris; her nephews, Neil Smith, Shane Smith, and Tracy Ledlow; along with a large and loving extended family.
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, at 913 North Elm Street, in Weatherford. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Tin Top Cemetery in Tin Top, Texas, with the service officiated by Skipper Hindman.
Viola’s life was a testament to love expressed through simple acts of care, creativity, and presence. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
