Verona Ozell Kizer, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2013. She was born December 29, 1921, to Joe and Maggie Burnett Preas, in Delta County, Texas. Verona was a longtime resident of Weatherford and member of Center Point Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Kizer; daughter, Jane Wade; one sister and five brothers.
She is survived by her son, Sam Kizer and wife, Donna of Weatherford; son-in-law, David Wade of Haltom City; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2013, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at Center Point Baptist Church, with Rev. Scott Seely officiating, and interment to follow in Center Point Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
