Vernell Kelley Hutcheson

  Vernell Kelley Hutcheson, age 91, of Weatherford, died Wednesday evening, August 3, 2011 at her residence. She was born June 21, 1920 in the Baker Community, where she had lived all her life. She married the love of her life, Doyle Hutcheson, on September 4, 1937. Vernell  was a loving wife, mother, grandma, member of the Baker Baptist Church, life member of the Pythian Sisters and the Eastern Star. She was a Board Member of the Parker County Soil and Water Conservation District, named as Weatherford College Outstanding Woman of the year in 1977 and she had fifty years of volunteer Service for the Pythian Home.  

  Her parents and husband precede her in death.

  Survivors: chosen daughter, Hazel Karg and husband, David of Weatherford; two grandchildren, Doyle Karg of Weatherford and Lina Bryan of Weatherford; three great grandchildren, Hanna, Madelyn and Dane; special family member, Doyle Allen Stevens; and a host of other relatives and friends.

  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2011, in the Baker Baptist Church with interment in the Long Creek Cemetery. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
