Verna Dale Baker

  Verna Dale Baker, age 80, of Weatherford, died Tuesday night, November 29, 2011, in the local hospital. She was born July 12, 1931, in Sweetwater, Texas, and was a resident of Weatherford for many years. She was a homemaker and a retired convenience store manager.  She loved to cross stitch and play Facebook Farmville. 

  Verna is survived by her daughter, LaVerne Riley of Mineral Wells; three grandchildren, Randy Kokko, Tommy Kokko, both of Weatherford, and Angie Duncan of Quanah; and four great grandchildren.

  Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2011, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Authon Cemetery. 
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011, at the funeral home.
