Veneda Lou Sosebee-Hayter

Veneda Lou Sosebee-Hayter, 85, of Weatherford, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 surrounded by her family. Veneda was born born October 9, 1929, in Weatherford, where she had lived all her life. She was a homemaker, a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Brock Methodist Church. Veneda worked for Bell Telephone which later became AT&T and retired after 25 years. Veneda was preceded in death by her husband, J. L. Sosebee, daughter, Cathy Sosebee, granddaughter Karrie Sosebee, grand-son-in-law, Marcus Stepich and step-son Gaylord Hayter. Survivors: Husband of 10 years, A. L. Hayter; son, Billy Sosebee and wife, Darla; brother, George Carter and wife, Grethal; grandchildren, Kendra Reeves and husband Kevin, and Kortney Stepich; great grandchildren, Wyatt Slade, Jaydon and Saydee.

Funeral: 2 p.m, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Galbreaith Pickard Chapel with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m, Friday, Dec. 26, at the funeral home.
