Truman Rhea Harris

April 18, 1935 — July 28, 2007

Truman R. Harris, 72, of Weatherford, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at his residence.  

Born April 18, 1935, in Mineral Wells, a resident of Parker County for many years. Truman was a retired ironworker, a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and a 55 year member of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers Local 263. 

Truman was preceded in death by his first wife, Joye Harris, in 1990; his parents; one sister; and two brothers. 

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Vivian Harris of Weatherford; daughter, Tracy Jacoby and husband, James of Bellaire; sons, Derrell Harris and wife, Ramona of Weatherford, Joe W. Harris of Weatherford, Shane Harris of Weatherford, Stan Waters and wife, Leslie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Rick Waters and wife, Cindy of Clovis, New Mexico; sister, Barbara Nichols of Aledo; brother, Bobby G. Harris of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 

Funeral service: 10:00 a.m.., Thursday, August 2nd, at Hillcrest Church of Christ, with Joe Harris, Sr. and Minister Ray White officiating. 

Interment: Memory Gardens Cemetery. 

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
