Tommy Edwin Edwards

  On the morning of November 11, 2021, Tommy Edwards of Santo, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years old, with his family by his side. He retired from a career at Lockheed formerly General Dynamics after 35 years.

  Tommy married Shirley Chesnut of Brazos in February of 1951.Together they raised five children. He had a great love of family, outdoors, and going to the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado. He had a passion for going fishing, hunting, camping, and riding around on his ATV.

  Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Chesnut Edwards; father, Leonard Edwards; his mother, Bessie Trammel Edwards; and his brother, Bobby Edwards.

  He is survived by his children, Gary Edwards (Elizabeth), Deborah Martin (Don Martin, deceased), Douglas Edwards (Barbara), Donna Hartman (Roy), and Karen Searcy (Larry Searcy, deceased). He is also survived by his sister, Janet Marsden. He also was survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.

  Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Dobbs Valley Baptist Church, 734 Dobbs Valley Road, in Santos, Texas.
