Tommy Dwayne Gibbs, age 80, of Weatherford, died Wednesday night, July 23, 2008, in the local hospital. Born March 29, 1928, in Glen Rose, a resident of Weatherford for many years, he was retired auto mechanic from Lindsey Motor Company, retired from Weatherford College Maintenance, member of the Baptist Church, an avid fisherman, a guitarist, a Veteran of the Korean War, and he was known as a good man.
Mr. Gibbs was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Rouse and a brother, T. W. Gibbs.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Gibbs of Weatherford; daughters, Evalyn Fox of Weatherford, Carolyn Bell of Gordon, Rebecca Moseley of Mineral Wells, and Fran Harris of Fort Worth; son, Asa Moseley of Bridgeport; sister, Winnie G. Hipps of Fort Worth; brothers, Douglas Gibbs of Fort Worth, Rev. Terry Williams of Burleson, and Rev. Donnie Williams of Burleson; seven grandchildren, Prissy, Kurt, Wayne, Lea, William, David, and Tonya; and one great grandchild, Christanna.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in the Alameda Cemetery near Desdemona. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Friday, July 25, at the Funeral home.
