Tommie Russell Dobbs

  Tommie Russell Dobbs passed away at his home in the Peaster community on May 3, 2017. Funeral: 2 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Peaster Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. 

  Tommie was born at Campbell Memorial Hospital on Throckmorton Street in Weatherford, Texas on December 14, 1970.When he left the hospital he went home to Peaster where he spent his entire life. He attended Peaster schools K-12. Growing up, Tommie spent hour upon hour riding with his Daddy on the tractor. He loved spending time outdoors, working cattle and running farm equipment. He loved planting and watching things grow. 

  Tommie's family meant the world to him. He loved them with all his heart. He was so proud of all of his kids. He was loved and admired by so many. His memory will live on in the people who loved him.

  He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; three wonderful children, sons, Colton Dobbs and Tanner Dobbs, and daughter, Kallie Dobbs and two step children, Amber (Stacy) Davis and Ryan Hunt. He is also survived by his parents, Mack and Darla Dobbs, and his brothers, Tracy (Rhonda) Dobbs, Mitchell (Alisha) Dobbs, and Chad (Melissa) Dobbs. 

  He is survived by his grandmother, Earline Scoggins. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a host of other family and friends. 

  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Scoggins and his paternal grandparents, Prudence Haines and Jimmie (Son) Dobbs.
