Tommie Jane Coalson

  Tommie Sawyer Coalson was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, March 12, 1940 to parents, H.W. “Dub” Sawyer and Dorothea Lois Roquemore Sawyer. Tommie lived with her grandparents, N.M. Roquemore and wife, Amanda in Millsap. She attended high school there. Tommie graduated from Weatherford College and then attended Tarleton State University where she graduated with a degree in education. Mac Coalson and Tommie married and made their home north of Garner. 

 Tommie is survived by her devoted husband, Mac Coalson and two loving sons, McAllen and wife, Karla of Weatherford and Greg and wife, Shelly of Weatherford; one sister, Norma Sawyer Hamilton of Abilene, Texas; and sisters-in-law, Jonnie Coalson Crum and Alleen Coalson Stringer, both of Mineral Wells. 

  A big part of Tommie’s life were her grandchildren, Colby Coalson of Weatherford, Ashton Hutte (Andrew) of Weatherford, Raleigh Coalson (fiancée, Maitlan Wade) of Weatherford, Lauren Habig (Ben) of Montana, and Ian Coalson of Weatherford. 

  Tommie was blessed with three great grandsons, Blake Coalson of Justin, Texas, Graham Coalson, and Nate Hutte, both of Weatherford. She is survived by many wonderful friends, the Bethesda Church Family and the lifelong loving Presence of the Lord.

 Visitation will be held at Bethesda Methodist Church in Weatherford, Texas, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service, also at Bethesda Methodist Church, will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Bethesda Cemetery.
