Toby Leon Taylor

December 9, 1970 — February 3, 2024

Toby Leon Taylor, 53, departed this earthly life on Saturday, February 3, 2024, running into the arms of his loving Savior. He was born December 9, 1970, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Larry Taylor and Linda (Owens) Taylor.

Toby found love in Italy where he met his soulmate, Beth, during a life-changing semester abroad through Texas A&M University. United in marriage in 1993, their enduring bond was blessed with two cherished sons, Riley and Colby, adopted in 2006 and 2007. Family was Toby's greatest joy and TaylorFour his proudest accomplishment.

After graduating from Texas A&M, Toby began his career at an architectural firm before joining the family air conditioning business, where he served as General Manager for over 20 years. In 2016 when the opportunity arose to purchase a business in their hometown, Toby and Beth bought AlphaGraphics. Since then, they've grown a successful printing business, which is tightly woven into the heart of Weatherford.

Toby had a heart for community, where he served on the Weatherford ISD School Board, the Chamber of Commerce, and Christian Men's Fellowship. He was active in Boy Scout Troop 109, supporting Riley and Colby on their journey to becoming Eagle Scouts.

As a long-time member of Trinity Bible Church, faith and fellowship filled Toby's life with meaning and purpose. He served as a devoted deacon for many years and could often be found in the nursery, where he was affectionately known as “The Baby Whisperer.” But his true passion was in student ministry, where he spent time mentoring students, leading small groups, and being a loving presence at youth events. Perhaps his biggest impact was one-on-one. He truly knew how to reach people exactly where they were.

Known for his smile and gentle nature, Toby had a talent for putting people at ease. He had a unique way of using humor to make people feel comfortable and loved, throwing in the occasional practical joke to keep things exciting. Family was Toby's passion and he loved leading TaylorFour on numerous adventures and creating a lifetime of memories. For Toby and the family, community was important and consisted of a patchwork of loving friends and family connected by countless camping trips, game nights, and backyard campfires. Wherever those adventures led, Toby found ways to show the importance of serving others and loving on people.

Toby leaves a legacy of kindness, humor, and service. He will be forever loved and profoundly missed. His family was his greatest love. Quiet days and good conversations - these simple joys bound them close together.

Toby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rosco and Hazel Taylor and Joe and Louise Owens.

Left here to serve are his wife of 30 years, Beth, and their sons, Riley and Colby; his parents, Larry and Linda Taylor; his in-laws, Bob and Lillian Lynch; his brother, Trey Taylor and wife, Alexa, and their children, Abigail and Noah; his brother-in-law, Robert Lynch and wife, Lee; and niece, Jessica Long and husband, Ben.
