Thurman Rowell, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at Annetta Cemetery, with Mike Edwards officiating.
Thurman was born August 26, 1928, to Hassel and Bell Rowell, in Wind Parish, Louisiana. He was a longtime resident of Aledo, Texas. Thurman was a Master Mason in the Phoenix Lodge 275 in Weatherford and served in the Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hassel and Bell Rowell; and ten brothers.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Twila Rowell of Aledo; daughter, Deborah Jurek and husband, Jay of Weatherford; son, Francis Rowell of Weatherford; grandchildren: Cody Rowell and wife, Misty, Derek Rowell, Courtney Smith and husband, Chandler, Jesse Jurek and wife, Lauren, and Jason Jurek and wife, Tara; and great-grandchildren: Cheridan Rowell, Jocelyn Ruth Jurek, Hayden Rowell, and Hudson Rowell.
Graveside Service: Friday, September 27, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at Annetta Cemetery, with Mike Edwards officiating.
