Thomas (Tom) Williams Smith

Thomas (Tom) Williams Smith, age 74, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2024.

Tom was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on January 18, 1949, and passed away on January 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Genevieve Smith. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debra Smith; his children, Reva Goellner, husband Karl, and Nathan Smith, wife Julie; and his grandchildren: Bailey Smith, spouse Alexis, Carsten, Ethan, Sophia, and Genevieve. Also, siblings: twin brother, Timothy Smith, wife Cathy, and Gary Smith, wife Kathy; and nieces and nephews.

After serving in the United States Army, Tom traveled the country and world working as a land surveyor. Tom made his move to Texas in 1986 and was able to retire in 2009. After retirement, he could be found on the golf course with his buddies, woodworking in his dream shop, or in his comfy chair reading to his grandchildren. He loved his children and grandchildren fiercely, always beaming with pride when speaking of them. Teaching them to drive, shoot a gun, play blackjack, grill a steak, or tell a joke were his favorite things to do.

Arrangements were made through Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford.

His viewing will be Sunday, January 21st, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., and his celebration of life will be held Monday, the 22nd, at 10:00 a.m.
