Thomas Jackson Downing, 95, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015. Mr. Downing was born November 17, 1919, in Amarillo, Texas, to Thomas Jefferson and Emma Sarah Downing. He was a retired mechanic and a Navy Veteran serving during WWII. Jack loved fishing and raising his five daughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jannie Mirl Downing; daughter, Dories Barker; grandson, Coy Walker; his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors: daughters: Ann Crawford of Fort Worth, Rita Beauchamp of Weatherford, Kay Clepper of Springtown, and Judy Walker of Weatherford; 10 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Graveside service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday July 7, 2015, in Oakland Cemetery.
