Thomas Howard Bessire

  Mr. Thomas Howard Bessire passed from this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the age of 79.

  Thomas was born on October 28, 1946, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Howard Bessire and Clarita (Wood) Bessire. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Thomas married the love of his life, Gale Chaleff, and together they built a wonderful life filled with love and devotion. A man of strong faith, he was a member of the Methodist Church.

  Professionally, Thomas worked as a computer programmer for Ben E. Keith. Following his retirement, he enjoyed making trips to Lowe's and Home Depot, building and repairing things around the house, and spending time outdoors. A lifelong history enthusiast, he particularly enjoyed learning about World War II and other significant historical events.

  Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Gale Bessire of Poolville, Texas; daughter, Katherine Bessire; son, Sean Fraser; and brothers, Mike Bessire and John Bessire.

  Mr. Bessire will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

  His legacy of service, faith, and love for his family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
