Thelma Mary Shepherd, age 102, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2014. Thelma was born February 28, 1912, to John and Rachel Thompson, in El Campo, Texas. She resided in Hurst, Texas at the time of her death.
She leaves behind her daughters, Joy Vaughn of Hurst and Margie Sanders and husband, Jack of Deer Park; sons, N. A. “Sonny” Shepherd and wife, Darlene of LaPorte and Richard Shepherd of Houston; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rachel Thompson; and daughter, Jo Anna McCall.
Arrangements are under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. A service will be held at a later date.
