Terry D. Looney

 Terry Dale Looney, age 76, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1948, in Baytown, Texas, to Bill Looney and Ann (Morgan) Looney.

 Terry graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso, Texas, and went on to attend Lubbock Christian College (University), where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. He devoted his life to ministry, serving as a youth minister, choir director, and later as a minister to widows and the homebound. Terry was deeply committed to serving others and sharing the love of Christ with everyone he met.

 He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In 1972, he married Diana Baumann, and together they raised two children, Tara and Trey. Terry was affectionately known as "Baba" to his six grandchildren, a role he cherished with pride and joy.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ann Looney.

 Terry is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Diana Looney of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Tara Laminack and husband, David, of Tolar, Texas; son, Trey Looney and wife, Bethany, of Hudson Oaks, Texas; and his beloved grandchildren: Anson, Jayton, and Becton Laminack, and Ryah, Tate, and Titus Looney. He is also survived by his brother, Greg Looney and wife, Terri, of Canyon, Texas.

 A memorial service honoring Terry’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at South Main Church of Christ, located at 201 S. Main St., Weatherford, Texas 76086.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Christ-centered cause of your choice.
