Steven “Steve” Gregg Boles, age 62, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024. He was born June 23, 1961, in Odessa, Texas, to parents, Eddie Boles and Peggy Pitts-Boles.
After graduating from Odessa College in 1981, Steve embarked on a distinguished career spanning over 38 years as a “Tool Design Specialist Lead” at Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Texas. He was responsible for the design and rework of tools associated with the building of the F16, F22, and F35 Fighter Jets. His exceptional intellect and artistic talents crafted tools that turned concepts into reality. He was continually sought out for his expertise and problem-solving abilities throughout his career.
It can never be over emphasized the amount of love and devotion that Steve had for his family, they were always his priority. He shared this journey with his loving wife, Karen Paulk-Boles of 44 years. Together they were blessed with two children; Michael Ray Boles and Kristin Lynn Boles-Tollett.
Steve had a passion for sports and enjoyed being able to share this with his children. He also greatly enjoyed coaching and participating in both of his children’s sports activities, from little league division playoffs with his son to basketball with his daughter. He was an avid golfer; grill master; and had a love for rock-n-roll music and in particular a fondness for “The Beatles.” Steve was also an animal lover especially for his “Old English Sheep Dogs.”
Steve was preceded in death by his loving parents, Eddie Boles and Peggy Boles, and his brother, James Boles.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Boles; son, Michael Boles and wife, Morgan; daughter, Kristin Boles-Tollett and husband, Colton; adored grandchildren, Hudson and Abigail; as well as his brother, Terry Boles.
A memorial service to honor Steve’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas.
