Stephen "Steve" Paul Shiffer

February 18, 1950 — September 1, 2025

Stephen Paul Shiffer, known as Steve, passed from this life on Monday, September 1, 2025, at age 75. Born February 18, 1950, in Lykens, Pennsylvania, to Paul T. Shiffer and Norma J. (Davis) Shiffer, he proudly served his country in the Pennsylvania National Guard for two years.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree, Steve built a career in telecommunications and later in computer technology as a salesman, where his knowledge and personable nature helped him thrive.

A true outdoorsman, Steve was a mountain man and loved walking and doing marathons. He completed many marathons, but was especially proud of conquering the Pikes Peak Ascent and the Big Sur Marathon - as they challenged him with rolling hills, steep ascents, advanced terrain, and breathtaking views.

Steve was a man who was always busy, often building and creating with his hands. He was a member of Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church in Woodland Park, where his faith was an important part of his life.

On September 2, 2000, Steve married Lady Anne Terry, and together they built a life filled with love and family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, an amazing father, and a proud grandfather. His grandchildren adored him and surrounded him with love every chance they had.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul T. Shiffer.

Steve is survived by his wife, Lady Anne Terry Shiffer of Willow Park, Texas; former wife, Machelle Wilde; daughter, Rachel Grossman and husband, Jason; stepchildren, Ernest Terry and wife, Shelly, Charles Terry and wife, Stacie, Betsy Jemerson and husband, Charles, and Patrick Terry and wife, Diki; granddaughters, Lucy Grossman and Norah Grossman; step-grandchildren, Christopher Busby, Bryce Busby, Lauren Rodriguez, Sydney Terry, Travis Terry, Jack Terry, Mallory Terry, Marianne Terry, and Michael Terry; and step-great-grandchildren, Vannah Busby and Christopher Busby.

He is also survived by his mother, Norma J. Shiffer; and siblings, Randy Shiffer and wife, Brooke, Timothy Shiffer and wife, Cindy, Lisa Miller and husband, Kenny, and Matthew Shiffer and wife, Amanda.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date with the announcement coming soon.
