Stella Mae Moyer

  Stella Mae Moyer, 98, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 in a local nursing home. Stella was born August 20th, 1914 in Shelby County, Texas, to Robert Jeff and Martha Leta Yeary. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She moved to Weatherford when she was only 17 years old. She has been a member of Couts Memorial United Methodist Church since she moved here. She was a Beautician and owned Stella’s Beauty Shop here in Weatherford for over 30 years.  

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Moyer; son, Jerrell Wayne Moyer; and brothers, Starlon Yeary, Cleo Yeary, and Dewey Yeary.  

  Survivors include daughter, Jane Shaw and husband, Woody; daughter-in-law, Charleen Moyer, both of Weatherford; four grandchildren, Lisa Hamilton, Joseph Moyer, Julie Brown and husband, Steve, and Jason Shaw and wife, Nisha; seven great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives in France.

  Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at funeral home one hour prior to service.
