Shirley Virginia Badertscher peacefully passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 98. She was born on January 28, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to Elisha Robbins and Clara (Norrod) Robbins.
Shirley spent her early years in both Detroit and Tennessee. In 1947, she married Robert Badertscher, with whom she shared many cherished memories until his passing in 2015. She lived in Utica, Michigan, for nearly fifty years, where she was a member of Covenant Baptist Church before moving to Texas.
A strong and loving woman, Shirley dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Bernard Badertscher; her daughter, Sherry Badertscher; and her grandson, Matthew Campbell.
Shirley is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Susan Masure and husband, Jimmy; her sons, Robert Badertscher, Jr. and wife, Chris, and Ronald Badertscher and wife, Gretchen; along with 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as everyone who ever met her.
