Sherry Orr

Sherry (Wright) Orr, age 78, passed away from this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. She was born February 24, 1945, in Mineral Wells, Texas to the late Loyd Wright and Eva (Chastain) Wright. Sherry married the late Robert E. Orr in June of 1971. She is survived by her three children, Lonnie Moore and wife Leslie of Gwinn, Michigan, Lori Coupland and Lea Donaldson, both of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Emily Feltner and husband Phil, Jacey Mattison and husband Jake, Tanner Coupland, and Colton Donaldson; and two great-grandchildren, Dalton Feltner and Charolette Mattison, all of whom she adored.

Sherry was predeceased by her husband; parents; brother, Bobby Wright; and two sisters, Naomi Odom and Wanda McCauley.

Sherry will be remembered for her compassionate and joyful attitude, always giving of herself in her family life and in her career. After graduating from Santo High School, she obtained her nursing degree from Ranger College, then worked as a LVN for 25 years, but Sherry loved her family above all. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the Landreth Cemetery, in Santo, Texas.
