Sandra Kay (Glover) Kobel, 77, of McVille, ND passed away peacefully under the care of HIA Hospice in Fargo, after a brief battle with cancer, with her daughter and youngest grandson by her side.
Sandra Kay Glover was born July 9, 1949, to Mary (Harris) and James O. Glover. She was the 2nd of 2 daughters. Her family spent most of her childhood moving across the southern states, due to her daddy’s job. She made many friends and memories along the way. In her teenage years, her family finally settled in Englewood, Colorado, and she graduated in 1967. Her favorite memories were from this time of her life, living so close to her parents and sister and her family, and many other friends.
She loved big and had the most generous heart. During the Gulf War, she made it possible for over 10,000 cards and letters to be sent from McVille, ND to servicemen and women stationed overseas. She personally wrote letters for 6 months. She was always up for a visit with a cup of coffee and would always make sure that you never left hungry. She loved her cats more than her children somedays and she was a huge supporter of Animal Rescues, sending donations for over 40 years. She also loved her many Facebook friends who she’d communicated with daily playing games.
Her presence will be deeply missed by her husband, George, of 41 years and her 4 children- Michael (Stephanie), Mark (Donna), Michelle (Rocky), and Eric (Laura). Grandchildren- Matthew (Sophie), Nolan, Gage, Hannah, Austin (Chelsea), Amanda, Devan (Cheyenne), Braydon, Kayden, Kayleigh, and Jaylen. Great Grandchildren- Tucker and Penelope.
Per Sandra’s wishes, there will be no service as her final resting place will be Memory Gardens, Weatherford, Texas.
“I am a Texan. Once born in Texas, always a Texan.”
