Ruth Ann Biondo, a beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born on October 17, 1934, in New Albany, Indiana, to Berthold "Bert" Winkler and Margaret "Peggy" (Markwell) Winkler.
Ruth's educational journey began in Miami, Florida, where she attended Riverside Elementary and Miami Senior High. She later pursued higher education at Miami Dade Community College, earning her associate degree. Ruth worked as a bookkeeper in Florida before relocating to Texas, where she eventually retired from her position at Kohl's Shoe Department.
A woman of unwavering faith, Ruth was an active member of the Methodist Church. Her creative talents shone through in her love for sewing, where she became a skilled seamstress, crafting several wedding dresses for her daughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vriole "Sonny" Biondo; four daughters, Linda DeNunzio, Margaret "Peggy" Biondo, Patricia "Patty" Weidel, and Catherine "Cathy" De Lillo; and her son, James "Jimmy" Biondo. Ruth now reunites with her parents, Bert and Margaret Winkler, and her brothers, Robert, Joe, Russell, and twins Jim and Bill Winkler.
Ruth is lovingly remembered by her son, Joseph "Joe" Biondo, as well as numerous grandchildren and other cherished family members.
In honor of her remarkable life, a memorial service will be held by the family on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Methodist Church, located in Weatherford, Texas, celebrating Ruth's enduring spirit and the love she imparted to those around her.
