Royce Weisinger, 83, passed away on May 24, 2026 in Willow Park, Texas. He was born on May 10, 1943, in Frost, Texas, to Reginald Winford Weisinger and Eva Marie Weisinger.
Royce graduated from Talco High School in 1961 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from East Texas State University in 1968. His early career was in aviation design for Bell Helicopter and LTV. He brought design into every aspect of his career even after leaving the corporate world to enter the world of sales and entrepreneurship.
Royce grew up near the love of his life, Carolynn, and while Royce moved to East Texas and they went separate directions for a while, the two reconnected in 1964 and were married on November 26, 1965, in Mertens, Texas.
He and Carolynn worked together in a playground design business, bringing together his design and sales experience, for over 25 years. This business allowed Royce to do something he loved so much – talk with and serve people.
Royce is survived by his spouse, Carolynn of Weatherford, Texas; children, Christi and Kyle Flaherty of Aledo, Texas; Robin and HB Pasley and of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandsons, Harrison Flaherty of Fort Worth, Texas, Zane Pasley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Xander Pasley of Phoenix, Arizona, and Eliot Flaherty of Aledo, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Weisinger.
Royce was known as a loving and doting husband, constantly telling everyone how amazing his wife, Carolynn was. He loved his kids and grandkids so much never missing an opportunity to tell them he loved them and how proud of them he was. His friends remember his quirky sense of humor and his love of laughter and having a good time.
Royce didn’t meet a stranger and wanted to know everyone’s life story as his deepest desire was for all he knew or met to know they are loved by Jesus. He always took time if he felt prompted and many prayers were prayed over strangers at restaurant tables or aisles of Home Depot and will no doubt impact them for years to come.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 at New River Fellowship Church in Hudson Oaks. The family is asking attendees to wear bright colors and party clothes as it truly is a celebration of a man who loved to be surrounded by friends, family, good music, and laughter.
Royce will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
