Roy F. Benton

  Roy F. Benton, 82, of Weatherford, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020, in a Fort Worth Hospital. He was born January 31, 1938, in Weatherford, to W.C. and Ruby Ratts Benton. Roy was a carpenter by trade and a salesman for CD Hartnett for many years. He loved spending time with his family, had a passion for woodworking and many years ago enjoyed being the VP of The Comancheros. 

  Roy was preceded in death by his wife and mother to his children, Lois Sears Benton in 1997 and in 2018 his wife, Nancy Benton, passed away. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gerry and Bill Benton. 

  Roy is survived by his children, Sally Constant and husband, Kevin, Connie Gresham and husband, Allen, David Benton and wife, Patty, and Sharon Woody and husband, Calvin; step children, Pam McGee, Myra Davis, Wade McGee, and Kevin McGee; brothers, Terry and Dwain Benton; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and other family members.

  Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. 

  Family graveside: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2020, in Bethel Cemetery.
