Rose Mary Wood

Rose Mary Wood, 68, of Weatherford went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday morning, October 21, 2011 at her residence. She was born January 3, 1943 in Weatherford to Randall and Billie Moughon Murrell. Mary was a life member of Couts Memorial United Methodist Church and a current member of HighRidge Church in Benbrook where she was faithful and dedicated servant. After retiring from the healthcare profession, Mrs. Wood worked in the aftercare department at Couts Christian Academy. Mary is preceded in death by her son, Jr. Wood father, Randall Murrell. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, Larry Wood of Weatherford; daughter, Jana Jo Barnes of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Amber Barnes McNitt and husband Anthony, Ashley Barnes all of Fort Worth, Harmony and Jordan Wood both of Mineral Wells and Eric Olen Barnes of Fort Worth; sister, Debbie Lowrance; brothers, Bill Murrell and wife Mary and Tom Murrell and wife Janice; mother, Billie Murrell; mother in law, Juanita Wood all of Weatherford; and daughter in law, Lana Wood of Mineral Wells.
Graveside service: 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Monday, October 24, 2011 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
