Rose Elizabeth Hamilton

July 15, 1932 — April 21, 2024

Rose Elizabeth Hamilton, beloved mother and grandmother, died on April 21, 2024, of natural causes. She was living with her daughter and son-in-law, Ann DiDomenico and Stephen DiDomenico in Godley, Texas. Rose was formerly a long-time resident of the town of Wakefield, Massachusetts and grew up in Malden, Massachusetts.

Rose was born July 15, 1932, and was preceded in death by her parents, Francis McGerity and Lillian McGerity of Malden, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Murial Mikel of Wilmington, Massachusetts and Barbara Hickum of Sanford, Florida, as well as her brothers, Francis McGerity of Milton, Massachusetts, and Roland McGerity of Sandwich, Massachusetts.

Rose was also preceded in death by her daughters, Nancy Rautenberg of Melrose, Massachusetts and Barbara Hakioglu of Wakefield, Massachusetts, as well as her loving husband, Richard Hamilton. Rose and Richard married after meeting at a Naval Ball and falling in love. 

Rose is survived by her loving daughter, Ann DiDomenico of Godley, Texas; as well as many beloved grandchildren, David Hamilton of Derry, New Hampshire, Amanda Taylor of Weatherford, Texas, Samantha Cordis of Arkansas, Alyssa Mathews of Rhome, Texas, and Michael Hakioglu of Saugus, Massachusetts. 

Rose is also survived by several great grandchildren whom she deeply cherished, Nancy Mathews of Oklahoma, Abigail Frinak of Weatherford, Texas, Paityn Frinak of Weatherford, Texas, Kenzie Hart of Rhome, Texas, Cameron Cordis of Arkansas, James Taylor of Weatherford, Texas, and April Hamilton of Derry, New Hampshire.

Rose had many hobbies she loved that included scratching lottery tickets, gossip, sewing, puzzles, and her absolute favorite was dancing and singing to Frankie Valley. Rose had many friends over her long life and she deeply cherished her friendships with all of them.

Rose enjoyed her time living in Texas and the wide-open spaces and her favorite thing was car rides to look at all the cows, longhorns, and horses. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. 

Rose's family will have a private celebration of her life.
