Ronald Carter Montgomery

  Ronald (Ronnie) Carter Montgomery, aged 66, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, following a month-long fight against COVID-19. Ronnie was born on June 24th, 1954, in Weatherford, Texas, to Ella and Carl “Shorty” Montgomery. He married his loving wife of 25 years, Patricia (Pat) Montgomery, in 1994.

  Ronnie was doting grandfather who was loved by everyone for his easy-going personality, self-deprecating sense of humor and willingness to always help anyone in need. He lived in and around Weatherford his entire life and worked for and retired from the JL Bertram Construction company after more than 40 years of service.

  Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his wife, Pat. 

  He is survived by his children, Jason Montgomery, Jennifer Bean, Jo Rhoades, Crystal Mann, and Beckie Baxter; his sisters, Connie Tucker and Nancy Yeager; as well as ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, on Elm Street in Weatherford, Texas, at 10:00 a.m. The family requests attendees wear masks and maintain social distancing.
