Born 9-10-1948 in Spalding, Nebraska to parents, Wayne and June Keenan.

Homegoing occurred on 8-20-2020 at Granbury Care Center in Granbury, Texas, at age 71.

Married 10-12-1973 to Christine Beach of Waynoka, Oklahoma; they were married 46 years.

They had two sons:
Marc Simms and wife, Jennifer of SouthRange Wisconsin and Joshua Keenan and wife, Kristy of Mansfield, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Predeceased by: his father, his mother, and two brothers, Roland Keenan and Michael Keenan, of Amarillo Texas.

And many many cherished nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law.

Roger was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving fours years during the Vietnam era.
He had a career of forty years with the railroad until he retired from BNSF on 9-1-2010.

He loved photography, traveling and exploring the United States, all genres of music, especially hymns. And the sweet rescue Chihuahua named Pedro, who stole the heart of his daddy in 2014 and brought joy back to the home as health declines were looming.

Roger loved the Lord and loved serving in various capacities at Victory Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas. In the final years, he and Christine attended Beulah Baptist Church, which he liked to call "the little church in the wildwood".
