Rodney Craig Pettit

  Rodney Craig Pettit, 71, of Weatherford, Texas, passed from this life on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

  Born on November 12, 1953, in Weatherford, Rodney was the son of the late Ted and Joy (Wright) Pettit. He was well known for his craftsmanship around Parker County, as a skilled glazer, and was the owner of Pettit Glass & Mirror. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, and could often be found visiting with friends at R&K Restaurant on Fort Worth Highway. 

  Rodney is survived by his daughters, Rachael Duncan, Rebekah Gilbert and husband, James; his son, Robert Pettit and fiancé, Rehanna Clements; and the mother of his three children, Kathy Pettit of Weatherford.

  He was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren: Garrett Probes, Christian, Conner and Savannah Duncan, Sawyer, Scarlett and Jasper Gilbert, and Wylie Pettit. Craig also is survived by his two brothers, Mike Pettit and wife, Gwen, Tim Pettit and wife, Tina, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, located at 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. 

  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2025, at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas.
