Robert Pete Newby, III, 65, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at his residence. Pete was born June 23, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Robert and Judy Shelton Newby. He was an Army veteran and a former police officer for the City of Hudson Oaks. Pete attended church at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Weatherford.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Pete is survived by his sons, Adam and Lance Newby; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Robert Johnson and Elizabeth Newby also survive him, although they were not his biological children, Pete had a hand in raising them and considered them his children.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., November 13, 2021, at First Baptist Church Horseshoe Bend, 7156 Brazos Trail, Weatherford, Texas 76087.
