  Robert Scott Farris, lovingly known as Scott, passed away at the age of 53 on Friday, January 10, 2025. Born on September 15, 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas, to John and Susan (Linbarger) Farris, Scott was a talented graphic illustrator who made his mark in the automotive industry. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Art Institute of Dallas.

  Scott had a zest for life and a passion for creativity. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and had a deep appreciation for classic cars. As the founder of Weatherford Cruise Night, he brought together fellow enthusiasts to celebrate their shared love for hot rods.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Susan Farris; his paternal grandparents, John and Betty Farris; and his maternal grandparents, James and Ruby Linbarger.

  Scott’s memory will be cherished by his son, Jakob Farris; brother, Steve Turner and wife, Sandra; sister, Melissa Hill; nephew, John Hill; niece, Sarah Hill; and his nephews, Sean and Sam Turner. He is also survived by his aunt, Levada Griffin, and husband, Ritter; his cousins, Mike and Alan Couey; as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

  A memorial service to honor Scott’s life will be held at a later date at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas.
