Robert Edward Hoffman

  Robert Edward Hoffman peacefully passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. Born on August 25, 1946, in Strawn, Texas, he was the son of Robert and Minnie Roberson Hoffman. Robert married his devoted wife, Harriet Ann Hoffman, on December 11, 1964, and together they built a life rich in love and family.

  Robert dedicated 31 years of his career to the City of Fort Worth as an electrician, retiring in 2000. He was a proud member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Known for his straightforward nature and preparedness, he faced life’s challenges with resilience and determination.

  In his leisure time, Robert enjoyed bowling alongside Harriet and participating in bowling leagues. His love for the outdoors extended to hunting and fishing, pursuits that brought him joy and peace. Robert took great pride in supporting his grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending their ball games with enthusiasm and encouragement.

  Robert is survived by his loving wife, Harriet and their children: Robert Edward Hoffman, Jr. and wife, Kimberly; Daniel Wayne Hoffman; and Raymond Douglas Hoffman and wife, Melanie. He is also survived by his brothers, Jacky Dean Hoffman, Michael Keith Hoffman and wife, Judy, and Charles Ray Hoffman and wife, Kay. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Ashleigh and husband, Kyle; Brandon and wife, Cristina; Scott; Brittany and husband, Richard; Matthew and wife, Hannah; Erica; Casey and wife, Cherokee; Annmarie and husband, Kyle; and Caleb and wife, Kaley; alongside 24 great-grandchildren who adored him.

  Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter-in-law, Jody Carol Hoffman; his sisters, Ola Marie Ford, Francis Darlene Gilland, and Glenda Mae Edwards; and his brother, Richard Lee Hoffman.

  A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. A funeral ceremony will follow on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., also at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn, Texas. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in fellowship after the graveside service at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas.

  Robert Edward Hoffman will be remembered fondly for his dedication to family and his unwavering spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
