Robert George Bruton passed away in his home on the morning of September 18, 2025, at the age of 79. He was the second of five children born to Benjamin George and Geneva Mae Bruton on October 12, 1945. Robert attended Weatherford Schools and graduated in May 1964. In June he met the love of his life, Joyce Harris, from Springtown. On June 25, 2025 they celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends.
Robert honorably served our country in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic in the Vietnam War. Upon his return, Robert and Joyce went on to have three wonderful sons. Their first was born in 1969 Robert Wayne, second came in 1972 Tony Delray, their third child was born in 1974 Tracy Lee.
Robert worked at Stratoflex Aerospace & Military division for 34 years before retiring as Plant Engineer. He then went on to enjoy 19 years of retirement. His hobbies included carpentry, technology, and tractor work. He literally moved mountains and build a tank with an island. He loved to keep gatherings interesting by inventing games to play or themed events. All who attended never knew what to expect.
His true passion was his family: his beloved wife, Joyce; sons Wayne and his wife Erin, Tony and his wife Sharon, and Tracy and his wife Laura; seven grandchildren, Dillon, Bailey, Cassidy, Chandler, Tori, Bryan, and Sawyer; and eight great-grandchildren, Brady, Griffin, Holden, Olivia, August, Maren, Jackson, and Nathan.
Robert will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his warm sense of humor, and his generous spirit. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the values he instilled in those he loved.
