Ricky Vonn Jones

Ricky Vonn Jones passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at age 66. Ricky was born December 20, 1956, in Weatherford, Texas to the late Jack Jones and Bonnie (Dickey) Jones. Ricky was a loving father to his children, Jennifer Jones and husband, Robert, Paige Saavedra and husband, Tony, Jessica Ramirez and husband, Victor, and Michael Jones and wife, Annysa; and he was a loving grandfather to his eight grandchildren, Colt Jones, Jaxon Jones, Weston Shoemaker, Danielle Shoemaker, Judson Ramirez, Josey Ramirez, Elaina Jones, and Aubrey Jones; he loved attending their sporting events and sharing his love of music and the Lord with them. Ricky is also survived by his sister, Bonnie Lou Gossett and husband, Robert W. Gossett III of Azle, Texas. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Michael Jack Jones, and sister, Patricia Gail Nelson.

Throughout his life, Ricky never failed to put a smile on everyone’s face. He was a true prankster and never met a stranger. Known for his kindness, he would give you the shirt off his back and help anyone in need. He had a deep passion for horses, the western lifestyle, and the Lord. There is no doubt he two-stepped all the way to Heaven. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his unwavering faith in God and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Brock Cemetery, 2104 FM1189, Weatherford, Texas 76087.
