Richard Thomas Leon

Richard Thomas Leon, 60, of Springtown, passed away Saturday evening, August 29, at the Weatherford Regional Medical Center.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 10AM, on Saturday, September 5, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Weatherford.  Burial will be private.
Richard was born January 16, 1955, in Jersey City, New Jersey to John and Grace Leon.  He was fully devoted to his Catholic faith and was active in the local Knights of Columbus.  Richard will be remembered for ‘doing anything for anyone – regardless’ even to the point of giving what he did not have.   
Richard is survived by children, Richard (Sarah Thornton) Leone, John Leone, Tammy (Leon) Johnson, and Theresa Ackerman; sisters, Annette Brieler, Frances Leon; brother, Jerry Leon; by 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Leon and his brother, John Leon and sister, Rosemarie Leon.
