Richard David Simpson

  Richard Simpson, 71, of Fort Worth, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 in a Fort Worth hospital. Rick was born July 23, 1944, in Amarillo, to Homer and Faye Raney Simpson. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of Connell Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in his yard, ranching, watching the Dallas Cowboys, listening to music and playing instruments. A highlight of Rick’s life was watching Air Force One land with President Kennedy on board.  

  Rick is survived by his wife of 42 years, Peggy; his son, Ricky Simpson of Dallas; his brothers, James Simpson of Annetta and Luther Simpson of Austin. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Simpson.

  Graveside service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Tin Top Cemetery. Ron Ebert will officiate. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
